The Coalition for Fantasy Sports Names J.T. Foley as First Executive Director
Addition of Respected Industry Veteran Demonstrates Continued Momentum for Growing Coalition
Las Vegas, NV - The Coalition for Fantasy Sports (CFS) announced today the appointment of J.T. Foley as its first Executive Director. Foley brings a wealth of experience and industry knowledge to the role, having spent 17 years with Las Vegas Sands Corporation, most recently serving as Vice President of Government Relations.
"I’m thrilled to join the Coalition for Fantasy Sports,” said J.T. Foley. “We will work with member companies to create the laws we need to grow this industry. Our member companies are leading on consumer protections and eager to share what we know with emerging DFS providers so that we can establish and preserve a safe and legal ecosystem.”
As Executive Director, Foley will work closely with each member of the Coalition to promote innovation and responsible play policies, enhance consumer protections, and encourage growth of the fantasy sports market. His long history and experience in the industry will bring the coalition to new heights and his passion for fantasy sports will drive the organization’s mission forward.

J.T. FOLEY BIO
J.T. Foley is the newly appointed Executive Director for The Coalition for Fantasy Sports (The Coalition). In this role, Foley will work to drive competition and innovation in the fantasy sports market and promote continuous improvement and choice in fantasy sports offerings. In addition, Foley will advocate for policies that benefit fantasy sports players and operators.
Prior to Foley’s role at The Coalition, he was Vice President of Government Affairs at Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS) for 17 years. Foley was instrumental in instituting political and community development activities, along with helping to ensure LVS properties continued to set the industry's standards. Foley helped oversee the company’s political activity, lobbying efforts and government affairs in various jurisdictions on an international, federal, state, and local level. In the course of these duties, he aided in the company's various expansion efforts and development projects by lobbying on gaming legislation in Pennsylvania, Florida, Kansas, Kentucky, Georgia, Texas, New York, and Brazil.
Foley was at the forefront of several of the company’s political and community initiatives. He was also instrumental in the legislation to help fund part of the stadium in Las Vegas that is home to the Las Vegas Raiders and the UNLV Running Rebels Football Team.
Foley is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas – St. Paul, MN, attaining a bachelor’s degree in legal studies in Business, where he participated in the College Republicans. In 2013, Foley was honored in Global Gaming Business Magazine “Class of 40 Under 40,” which recognizes the best of the next generation of leaders in the casino and gaming industry. His hobbies include golfing, snowboarding, and spending time with his two daughters, Quinn and Bridget.
